The latest and cutest health-food spot to pop up in Dubai, Bounty Beets, is set in Le Meridien Mina Seyahi and replaces what was Gourmet by Kcal. The restaurant is bright, pink and has clearly been designed with Instagram in mind. It’s very girly (lads don’t plan your next night out here) but is perfect for a casual breakfast, lunch or dinner date either inside or basking on it’s beautiful tropical terrace with views out to the hotel gardens and beach.
The menu is vast (read massive) and covers all the bases with all day breakfast, including multiple types of avo toasts (cue happy Nicole!), sweet potato pancakes, eggs, overnight oats, the list goes on. For lunch/dinner options there’s plenty of wraps and burgers on the menu along with meat and seafood on the grill and even pizzas. They also serve wine. I thought that would grab your attention.
Bounty Beets is perfect for vegans and vegetarians with so many options to choose from which makes a nice change in Dubai. I’m by no means either of the above but have friends who are and so having restaurants that cater well to a mixed audience really does make going out a darn sight easier.
I visited for a lunch date with a friend and can confirm that the gluten free waffles made with almond milk, eggs, cinnamon, vegan protein and fresh berry sauce were divine as well as beautifully presented. I also couldn’t resist the acai bowl which was perfectly blended, the right consistency and packed full of berries. My friend tried the organic black bean vurger which came with sweet potato fries and loved it. It was so huge she only managed half of it, so don’t be too worried about portion sizes here.
If you are doing dry January, its pre-12pm or you’re 6-months pregnant like myself Bounty Beets also has a huge selection of smoothies and hot drinks. The beetroot latte was particularly good!
Most definitely somewhere I’ll be returning to very soon!
