If lobster is your thing then I cannot recommend the new Lobster Bake at Noepe enough. Based on the new “Promenade” in the stunning Park Hyatt this Saturday Brunch is a very civilised, chilled affair set in one of the most stunning locations in Dubai.
The restaurant has had a complete overhaul (as has the whole area) and is now a beautiful, bright and breezy venue offering unbelievable views of the marina and creek. The Lobster Bake runs from 12.30pm until 4pm every Saturday and includes a huge selection of cocktails, mocktails, wine and let us not forget all the lobster you could possibly eat. Don’t be shy here, don your apron and get stuck in!
To kick off the day’s feasting we were greeted with two rather large baked lobsters, served alongside bowls of steamed clams and mussels, corn on the cob and baked potatoes which was quite the starter. Let me repeat, this was our STARTER! The lobster was utterly divine and perfectly cooked although I didn’t really think the sides were necessary considering how much other food was on offer. The baked lobster is served once but all the other dishes after this can be ordered over and over again until your heart’s content.
We desperately wanted to try every dish on the menu but our stomach’s just wouldn’t allow it so here is my round up of what we did manage to fit in….
The Lobster Mac ‘n’ cheese was utterly divine, well-seasoned and the perfect consistency.
The Lobster Cheese burger was HUGE and really good! It was cooked as requested and served along fries so do be careful not to fill yourself up. I’d recommend sharing it unless you really are a huge burger fan and are happy to forgo all the other delectable lobster offerings.
The Lobster Grilled Cheese was nice but needed a bit more flavour and cheese, definitely not one of our favourites so save yourself. The Popcorn Lobster was just delicious! Small mouthfuls of pure yumminess; you may want to order two of these. And finally my fave dish of the day, the New England Style Lobster Roll. Oh sweet lord this was life changing! The bread was buttery and the lobster just beautiful. You may want a whole one to yourself though. Sharing this was tough and we did end up having to order another so be warned!
And you know what comes after mains don’t you? That’s right, dessert! The mango cheesecake was nice but was just missing that little something. It didn’t quite hit the spot for me.
The apple pie with salted caramel sauce was really good, but dare I say the salted caramel a little too salty? Is there such a thing?? I feel like I’m going to hell for saying this.
But by far the winner for us all had to be the chocolate brownie. It was the perfect gooey consistency and super rich. Do not miss this!
The Noepe Lobster Bake is the perfect way to spend a beautiful winter’s Saturday and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s on the pricier end of the spectrum (see below) but it is lobster so what do you expect? Great for a date day or a small group this is definitely one for your list!
