Grand Afternoon Tea at Habtoor Palace

If you’re looking for the perfect glam, girly afternoon tea then look no further than the #GrandAfternoonTea at Sidra Lounge in the majestic Habtoor Palace.

We felt like princesses walking into the beautiful marble lobby with double-sweeping staircases which are utterly breathtaking. As we climbed the opulent stairs we were immediately greeted by a musical ensemble consisting of a pianist, cellist and violinist playing everything from classical to modern pop songs throughout the afternoon. It was a lovely touch.

Sidra Lounge is located on the 1st floor overlooking the lobby, with tables few and far between giving you plenty of privacy. We began with a refreshing welcome mocktail and the afternoon tea was explained to us by the attentive staff. With a smoked salmon station and a fine selection of beautiful pastries and cakes, finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream (swoon!) and a double page spread of tea’s you will not leave this afternoon tea hungry. The team kept us topped up with tea throughout and regularly came to check if we required any refills of sweet treats or sandwiches as we gossiped the afternoon away. The macaron’s were absolutely divine and the clotted cream was proper clotted cream. We loved the unique presentation of the individual dishes and were so impressed by the selection.

It’s definitely one for those looking for a lovely, sophisticated afternoon and certainly one to impress guests with. Every Saturday from 2-5pm for 225 AED per person, I actually don’t think it’s a terrible price considering the palatial setting and beautiful food.

Don’t forget the camera girls because this place was built for the ‘gram!
